Da Urban Jungle Radio....

 

Created by Leona, born and raised in The Bronx, NY, she lived in every borough in NYC except for Staten Island.

 

It quickly became evident to her that the Urban Culture would be taken by society and depicted totally different from the youth who created The Urban World. This culture was based & built on poverty and lack of artistic outlets, which suburban world had more access to. 

 

 

In the early 70’s & Mid 80’s the youth took the streets and made them our murals, our clothing became canvases and the Jazzy tunes,  R&B beats and Old school tunes became our instruments. 

 

 

Society has turned it around into yet another way to exploit our youth, I hope to bring our communities back to a better standing by sharing our music our talents and our originality without being exploited...
